Welcome to Koksijde

Our campsite is located in the village of Koksijde, just 1 km from all essential amenities. Within walking distance, you’ll find bakeries, a butcher, supermarkets, and more. Perfect for your daily shopping needs.
The municipal swimming pool ‘Hoge Blekkerbad’ is also nearby, ideal for a refreshing dip when the sea is still a bit chilly.

Standing at 33 metres, the Hoge Blekker remains the highest dune on the Belgian coast and it’s right in our backyard!

Roughly 2 km away, on the way to the beach, you’ll reach Zeelaan, a charming shopping street lined with boutiques and speciality shops, ideal for a relaxed afternoon browse.
Every Friday, Zeelaan comes to life with a weekly market full of local produce, fresh foods, and unique finds.

For a full overview of what's happening during your stay, check the Events Calendar or visit the local tourism office website.

Horsebackfisherman

Oostduinkerke is world-famous for its horseback shrimp fishers, a truly unique and unforgettable sight.

Clad in yellow oilskin coats and riding powerful Brabant draft horses through the surf, these fishermen search for the “North Sea gold” in a centuries-old tradition. This remarkable practice was officially recognized as UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage in 2013.

Want to witness this for yourself?
Check the fishing calendar on the NAVIGO Fisheries museum website to plan your visit.
